Terms of Use

1. Who we are

ShopOS is a product of Three Twelve Technologies, built in Kenya. Our registration is in progress; legal details will be confirmed once registration is complete. Contact: info@threetwelve.co.ke.

2. What ShopOS is

ShopOS is an Android application for point of sale and small-business management. It is currently available on Android only — no iOS or web version is offered at this time. It accepts cash, M-Pesa Till (Buy Goods) and Pochi La Biashara payments; it does not process card payments and requires no card hardware.

3. Your account

• Sign-in is via your Google account. You are responsible for activity under your account.
• You can also use the app in guest mode, without an account. Guest data stays on your device and is not backed up to the cloud.
• Team members you invite use their own Google logins and access only what your permission settings allow.

4. Your data

You own the business data you enter into ShopOS. We store and process it only to provide the service to you — for example to sync your records or let your invited staff work. See our Privacy Policy for full detail.

5. Subscriptions, trial and payment

• Every new shop starts with a 7-day free trial.
• After the trial you choose a plan. Plans are billed weekly, monthly or yearly, and are payable through Google Play in-app purchase or by M-Pesa STK push in the app.
• Renewal reminders begin 7 days before a plan expires.
• If a plan expires there is a 3-day grace period before features are restricted.
• You can cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the paid period.
• Extra shops, extra login seats and extra staff records may be added to a plan for an additional charge.

Plan prices are held in our live billing system and confirmed to you at the point of purchase. Prices, included limits and add-on rates may change; we will not apply a change to a period you have already paid for.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use ShopOS for anything unlawful, fraudulent or to misrepresent your business records;
• attempt to probe, bypass or interfere with the security rules that scope data to each shop;
• use the app in a way that infringes the rights of others;
• resell or white-label the app without a separate written agreement.

7. Availability and backups

ShopOS is designed to keep working offline, and cloud sync is offered as a backup and team feature. Even so, you are responsible for keeping your own records safe. We recommend signing in so your data syncs, and keeping a copy of anything critical.

8. Your responsibilities

• The accuracy of the data you enter — prices, stock, debts and payroll — is your responsibility.
• ShopOS reports profits from the buying and selling prices you record; it is not accounting, tax or financial advice.
• You are responsible for complying with any tax, licensing and record-keeping obligations that apply to your business.

9. Liability

ShopOS is provided as-is. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the app, including lost profits or business interruption. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

10. Ending your use

You can stop using the app at any time. Shop deletion is admin-only, enforced server-side, and requires typing the shop name to confirm. We may suspend access where these terms are breached.

11. Changes

We may update these terms as the product develops. The "last updated" date at the top shows when they were last revised.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya.
